WLS' blog article Fair Housing Act Prohibits LGBTQ Discrimination has been cited as authority in the Wikipedia article on the Civil Rights Act of 1968. WLS’ blog predicted that the United States Supreme Court's holding in Bostock v. Clayton County, Georgia would make discrimination based upon sexual orientation or gender identity illegal under the Fair Housing Act. On February 11, 2021, WLS' prediction proved accurate when the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development issued a memorandum interpreting the Fair Housing Act as prohibiting discrimination against LGBTQ individuals.
